Gringley-on-the-Hill Garden Festival - Sunday 14th June
The popular Garden Festival will take place on Sunday 14th June, from 12 noon until 5.00 p.m. Around 10 gardens in the village will be open for inspection, and there will be the usual Gardeners' Market. Refreshments will be available in the Village Hall, and at three other locations round the village. There will also be display of Classic Cars and Bikes. Tickets priced at £2.50 per adult will be available on the day. (Primary School children get in free when accompanied by an adult).

Flowers from Four Parishes - June 24th - June 26th
The Flower Festival for the four parishes is taking place this year in Clayworth, over the weekend of 24th - 26th June. The theme for the Fetival is "Food from around the World". The event will be opened by the Bishop of Sherwood on Friday 26th June at 7.30 p.m. in Clayworth Church, and this will be followed by a talk by Ruth Andrews entitled "Medaeival Food". Tickets for the opening cost £5.00.

Other events going on over the Festival weekend include canal boot trips, a circus school, and a children's cooking competition. To coincide with this event a special book of recipes - More than Loaves and Fishes - is being published, and will be lauched at an event in Clayworth Church on Friday 15th May at 7.30 p.m.

The Flower Festival itself will be open on Saturday 25th June and Sunday 26th June from 11.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m. The event will close with a service of Sonmgs of Praise in Clayworth Chruch at 6.30 p.m.

Barn Dance and Barbecue - Saturday 4th July
The annual barn dance at Dunstan Farm is on Saturday 4th July, when once again the Pierrot Folk Dance Band will be providing the music and leading the dancing. Adult tickets cost £12.50, primary school children £7.00, and there is a special family ticket (2 adults and 2 primary school children) at £35.00. Call 01777-816003 to book tickets.
